In January, more than 60 days after the storm, we went around the different parts of Leyte and Samar to document the state of the different Rural Health Units for World Health Organization’s Rising Anew Photo Book . Within 4 hours, an entire country was changed. Stories of grief and gratitude were shared in one breath. It’s easy to forget people and cities when life goes on so differently from where we stand, these photographs are an attempt at remembering.
